New Year, New Beginning!
Hello World!
It’s a new year and a new beginning and I’m so happy to be back blogging! The holidays were hectic but fun. I spent Thanksgiving in Palm Springs, Mid December in St. Louis, Christmas in LA & Huntington Beach and New Years in Chicago…ay ay ay! Lots of travel per usual :). I was fortunate to see many friends and family, but because it was impossible to see everyone I wanted, I put together a Holiday Piano Video for all my friends and family, playing one of my favorite Charlie Brown Christmas pieces (here it is for those of you who haven’t seen it yet!)
Another highlight of the holiday season was a wonderful Christmas party hubby and I attended at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The Beverly Hills Hotel is not only one of the world’s best hotels, but it is closely associated with Hollywood film stars. Well, that night we also felt associated with a Hollywood film star as we found out that we were staying in Elizabeth Taylor’s Bungalow! I was super ecstatic as I love this 1950’s starlet and later–unbeknownst to me–I found out that, that night, I happened to wear a strikingly similar outfit to the legendary Elizabeth Taylor. So (of course), I had to snap some pics!
The dress is Prada (who doesn’t love Prada) and the fur I found the day of at a nice, trendy furrier called Don’s Furs in Monrovia, California. It is a silver fox. Feels super nice and is very warm!
As you can see, Elizabeth Taylor sported a very similar look back in the 1950s with the red dress and the white fur. So, I’m hoping that by the random assignment to her bungalow and the serendipitous outfit choice that this is a positive sign from the universe…Finger’s crossed! π
I am excited to go into the New Year with this wonderful sense of vigor and a positive outlook. I can not wait to start working towards my New Year’s resolutions, which are (for me) really just goals that I plan to achieve regardless of the time of year. My belief is that with steady planning, disciple/repetition, faith and positive energy, we can achieve anything we put our mind to…So let’s get to it! π
What are some of your New Years’ Resolutions and life goals?
And that is all… for now π
xoxo
