Post Presidential Debates Reflection
I’ve never been that political to begin with; and then after witnessing the debates the other night, it really made me care even less and realize how silly anyone ever was for creating yet another label to serve as an excuse for why we should continue to divide ourself and why we (as humanity) should not get along.
When not writing resumes, I’ve been greatly enjoying catching up with old (and new friends)—of all political and ethnic backgrounds, collaborating with entrepreneurs, and have been blessed to connect with a few vibrant artists/entertainers lately (including two brilliant French individuals…an old friend/colleague I reconnected with and a new, in Paris.. you will be finding out more about this lovely gem soon! 💖) with whom I have some cool stuff in the works.
I love my artist friends…and I’m not talking about those (general) individuals who are looking for fame merely to flaunt it, or those who will do anything for the sake of gaining attention. I mean those who truly pursue and immerse themselves in their art—whether it be music, writing, directing, acting etc.—with a fervence and intensity of passion that even the mightiest of fire wardens could not extinguish.
I find these type of artists to be soul-filled, forward-thinking and operating on a different wavelength—one of unity, reflection, spiritual and intellectual refinement. The artists I speak of don’t spew out divisive language or empty rhetoric; they don’t use harsh language, demean their counterparts, or operate out of ego; they are often calm in demeanor and sometimes even unnoticed due to their empathetic and soft tone, but powerful in spirit and unwavering in their commitment and drive to achieve remarkable things on and for this planet. They ardently embrace and espouse unity.
Let’s be like the artists of the world. Let’s reflect. Let’s incite change…TRUE change, for the betterment of our race (the human race) and our world’s future. Who’s with me?
Namaste 🙏🏾
